Rachel and David got married on the hottest day of the summer at gorgeous Delille Cellars.
They met the modern way, online. They formally met in person in February 2010 at their favorite coffee shop (caffe calabria) in San Diego. A year later they submitted a haiku poem (about their first date there) for a Valentine’s Day contest at Caffe Calabria and they won!
They had a pretty instant connection and have been going strong ever since. About one year after meeting they moved in with each other and then got their dog, Diego, which pretty much sealed the deal.
Rachel says, “There are so many things I love about David, but a few things that stand out are just how natural and open we are with each other, and that he has been so supportive of me through some very stressful times in my life.”
David says, “What I like most about Rachel is her calmness and kindness. He and Rachel have always been on the same wavelength when it comes to activity levels and he love’s the fact that Rachel is just a good and kind human being. She treats everyone with respect, something you don’t often see!
